“LOS ANGELES: Hollywood star Alec Baldwin is back on the road following hip replacement surgery.” The actor, 65, was recently seen in public for the first time after his May 30 operation, navigating the streets of New York with a cane.
Baldwin walked about New York with a grey and metal crutch on his left side and wore a smart-casual outfit. With a blazer in his right hand, he wore a loose-fitting navy blue shirt and a black T-shirt with matching navy trousers and a pair of polished black shoes, according to People magazine.
The actor’s appearance comes after he opened up about his “extremely painful” recuperation from surgery in an Instagram video last week. “I had my hip replaced on Tuesday of this week,” he explained. “I had my left hip done in 2018, five years ago, and the other one five days ago.”

“The agony fades gradually, but it is excruciatingly awful,” Baldwin said in the Instagram Reel. “”But, as we say in my house, ‘it’s the suffering that will end the pain.’ I needed this surgery at least two years ago and limped around, doing myself no favours since the compensating damage you do to your back, neck, feet, and knees is not fantastic.”
According to People, in the video, the actor claimed that he had struggled for numerous years with having to “limp around” but hadn’t been able to schedule in the surgery and requisite recuperation time.
“I didn’t have the time, either work-wise or schedule-wise, to complete it. “I didn’t have 4-6 weeks to limit myself like that,” he added. “”Or my glycemic difficulties affected that, making it difficult. We’d set a date for the surgery, and I’d flunk my blood sugar test.” He was going through a tough time after his surgery and now he is recovering again.
